Mushroom Defense by Animal Essentials supports a healthy immune system by using a blend of maitake, reishi, and cordyceps mushrooms. This combination is a powerful antioxidant formula and is suitable for cats and dogs of all ages.
This is an excellent supplement for cats who require immune support due to underlying medical conditions, including feline leukemia or FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). It can also be given to any cat (or dog) long-term for overall immune support. The recommended dosing schedule is “5 days on, 2 days off” (i.e. give for 5 days, stop for 2 days, start again for 5 days, etc)*.
